Here's a diary of auspicious and meaningful events in the life of the REVEAL project... so far.

2000  
23 October Simon presents the paper "Interactive Reconstruction of Virtual Environments from Photographs, with Application to Scene-of-Crime Analysis" at VRST'00 in Seoul, Korea, and experiences the worst jetlag ever.
28 June Simon presents the paper "Interactive Rendering with Real-World Illumination" at the 11th Eurographs Workshop on Rendering in Brno, Czech Republic.
7 June Simon attends an EPSRC "Theme Day in Machine Vision" in London, and displays posters on the different aspect of the REVEAL project.
5 June Visit from Ra Page of City Life magazine.
24 May Simon, Alan and Toby visit NTSCCSI to photograph and video one of their scene-of-crime training houses.
3 May Simon attends BMVA Technical Meeting on Augmented Reality, London to give his paper "Interactive Rendering of Synthetic Objects into Real Images".
6 April James Sinnott attends the Eurographics UK conference in Swansea to give his paper "SQUIDS: Interactive Deformation of Superquadrics for Model Matching in Virtual Environments".
22 January Toby attends SPIE in San Jose, CA, to present the paper "Virtual Environments for Scene of Crime Reconstruction and Analysis". It rains.
1999  
24 August Visit from Derry Long and colleagues, from the  Computer-Aided Modelling Bureau at the Metropolitan Police.
12 May Visit from solicitors
7 May Visit from Keith Fryer (NTCSSCI), and Amanda Jane Balfour (Forensic Science Service).
27 April We visit  NTCSSCI at Harperley Hall.

10 March Granada TV "Crimefile" runs item on REVEAL.
8 March Granada TV visits us to film a piece about REVEAL.

9 December The House of Lords Select Committee on Digital Evidence visited.
12 October  Meeting with GMP,  Chief Superintendant Alan Boardman.
1 April REVEAL project officially begins!
25 March Alan attends the Eurographics UK Conference in Leeds to present the paper “Modelling and Rendering for Scene of Crime Reconstruction: A Case Study”.
1996  
16 April We send GMP a video of a walkthough of Chestergate.
14 February We give the first demonstration of the Chestergate reconstruction to GMP.
1995  
November We start the pilot project: the "Chestergate" reconstruction.
September First contact with Greater Manchester Police
